AKGO (hereinafter, the “Operator”) values the privacy of users of the “English–Thai Translator” mobile application (hereinafter, the “Application”) and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable data protection laws.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected, how it is used, and what measures are taken to protect it.
The Operator collects only the minimum personal information necessary to provide the service, as follows:
Voice data
When you use the translation function, the Application collects the voice input you provide via the microphone (recorded speech). This voice data is processed in real time through OpenAI’s speech recognition API or similar services and is not permanently stored (it is processed temporarily and then deleted).
Advertising identifiers and device information
The Application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. In this process, advertising identifiers (e.g., ADID/IDFA), device type, OS version, region, and similar device information may be automatically collected. These are non-identifiable, pseudonymous or anonymous data used only for advertising purposes.
Usage statistics and analytics data
The Operator plans to introduce Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in the future. When introduced, the Application may collect logs and statistical information about how you use the app (frequency of use, which features are used, error reports, etc.). This information does not include any directly identifying personal information and is used solely for service improvement and statistical analysis.
Payment information
In-app purchases in this Application are processed through the Google Play Store billing system. The Operator does not collect or store any payment-related personal information such as credit card numbers or bank account details. Where necessary, only minimal transaction information (e.g., purchase identifier, product ID, purchase status) may be received from Google. Detailed payment information is processed and stored by Google.
Additionally, if you voluntarily provide contact information such as an email address when making an inquiry, that information will be used only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
The Operator uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:
Providing the voice translation function
Voice data is used to recognize your speech and provide English–Thai translation results. The collected voice information is not used for any purpose other than speech recognition and translation.
Providing personalized advertisements
Advertising identifiers and device information are used via the AdMob platform to deliver personalized advertisements based on your interests, and to measure the effectiveness of ads for service operation purposes.
Service usage analysis and improvement
Statistical usage data collected via GA4 (once introduced) will be used to improve existing features, develop new features, enhance usability, and fix errors. Such data is processed in anonymized or aggregated form and is not used to identify individual users.
Customer support and inquiry handling
Contact information you provide (such as email) is used only to respond to your inquiries and to help resolve issues you report.
